God of War Full Story All Chapter
God of War is an action-adventure video game series created by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The franchise began in 2005 with the release of the first game, also titled "God of War," for the PlayStation 2. The series primarily follows the story of Kratos, a Spartan warrior who seeks revenge on the Greek gods for the hardships he has endured.
The original "God of War" game introduces Kratos as a former Spartan captain who becomes the servant of the Greek god of war, Ares. Consumed by rage and seeking redemption for his past sins, Kratos embarks on a mission to kill Ares. With the help of the gods, Kratos acquires powerful weapons and abilities, ultimately defeating Ares and becoming the new god of war.
In "God of War II," Kratos continues his reign as the god of war but is betrayed by Zeus, the king of the gods. Stripped of his godly powers and killed by Zeus, Kratos is rescued by the titan Gaia and guided by the spirit of Athena. Determined to exact revenge on Zeus, Kratos embarks on a journey to the Sisters of Fate to change his destiny. Along the way, he encounters various gods and mythical creatures, eventually reaching the Sisters of Fate and altering his past, allowing him to confront Zeus.
The third installment, "God of War III," picks up directly after the events of the previous game. Kratos, armed with the powers of the Titans, launches an all-out assault on Mount Olympus to take down Zeus and the gods. Throughout his journey, Kratos battles against powerful foes, including titans, gods, and mythical creatures, in his quest for vengeance. The game concludes with a climactic battle between Kratos and Zeus, resulting in the downfall of the Olympian gods and the destruction of Mount Olympus.
After the events of "God of War III," Kratos disappears from the Greek realm and finds himself in a new world inspired by Norse mythology. The 2018 installment, simply titled "God of War," serves as a soft reboot for the series. Kratos, now living as a mortal man, has a son named Atreus. The game focuses on their journey through the realms of Norse mythology, following the death of Kratos' second wife and Atreus' mother, Faye. They embark on a quest to fulfill Faye's dying wish and scatter her ashes from the highest peak in the realms. Along the way, father and son face numerous challenges, encounter gods and monsters, and learn about their own complicated relationship.
The 2018 "God of War" game received critical acclaim for its storytelling, gameplay mechanics, and emotional depth. It introduced a more mature and nuanced portrayal of Kratos, exploring themes of parenthood, redemption, and the consequences of one's actions.
In 2021, the sequel to the 2018 game, titled "God of War: Ragnarok," was announced. Set to continue the story of Kratos and Atreus, the game will delve deeper into Norse mythology, featuring a conflict of cataclysmic proportions known as Ragnarok, the end of the world in Norse lore. The specifics of the story and gameplay details of "God of War: Ragnarok" are yet to be revealed as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021.
